Gerhard Grabsdorf

Gerhard Grabsdorf uses his photography to open up unusual perspectives on the Bavarian metropolis.

His work focuses on places that often go unnoticed in everyday life – construction sites, ruins, street art, shop windows, industrial wastelands, architectural eyesores, company signs, beer tables, staircases, and much more.

In these motifs, Grabsdorf finds his central theme: the traces of human presence and the marks of time. Each photograph tells stories of transience and transformation, revealing the subtle structures that shape the urban landscape.

His artistic focus is on the locations of his hometown, Munich. With a refined sense for detail and composition, he reveals how the everyday can be transformed into unexpectedly poetic views.

Gerhard Grabsdorf’s photographs are more than documentation – they invite us to rediscover familiar surroundings and to see the city through the artist’s eyes.
